practice the ancient art of canoeing

Paddle a ten mile section of the beautiful Housatonic River in Northwestern Connecticut. The famous Covered Bridge in West Cornwall marks the halfway point and lunch is available at several places there. You may also bring a picnic lunch (no glass bottles please!), and stop at one of the many scenic spots along the river. Come to our shop in the morning and a van will take you to Falls Village. When you've completed your journey 10 miles downstream at Housatonic Meadows Picnic Area we'll pick you up and bring you back to our shop where hot showers are available.

the Kent School Varsity Girls' & Boys' Crew Teams

2004: Following a season opening loss to Andover, Girls Crew swept through all remaining competition in New England and capped another great season by placing second to Exeter in the overall point title at New England's, held on May 22 in Worcester. Captains Tara Singh and Chelsea Spensley provided outstanding leadership and, along with classmates Katya Chuprina, Cori DeLitto, Genny Fultz and Andra Prutu proved, once again, that Kent rowing is the class of New England. Boys Crew enjoyed another superb season, highlighted with sweeps of all 3 boats at Andover, Exeter and the Connecticut Championships. The first and second boats were also able to avenge early season losses to St. John's, beating them in the season's final regular season race. Heading into New England's all three boats earned either first or second seeds.
