Merryall Center for the Arts
Merryall Center is an intimate theater and community center on a narrow back-country road in rural Litchfield County, Connecticut. Yet for more than six decades, it has played host to luminaries from all over the United States. We are told there is nothing like it anywhere.
Formed in 1951 to provide a link between weekenders and Merryall residents, the center has evolved into a venue for performing artists, featuring professional entertainment and education in an intimate setting — it only seats 75 people. Those gracing its stage have included Fredric March, Marian Anderson, Skitch Henderson, Eartha Kitt, Margaret Meade, Chris Brubeck, Isaac Stern and Jeffrey Toobin.
The Merryall Center receives support from the New Milford Commission on the Arts and the Connecticut Community Foundation.
