The Kent Memorial Library is happy to present a series of workshops on the ancient art of henna. Henna is an ancient form of temporary body art used by cultures across Indian, northern Africa and the Middle East. Join henna artist Elyse Sadtler on Saturdays from 4 to 5 p.m. for a series of five how-to henna classes to learn how to draw beautiful henna designs on yourself, family and friends. Each class will focus on different design elements used to create beautiful henna art. Classes can be taken as a series or as individual learning experiences. Participants will receive their own henna cone to practice with during the class. Cost for each participant is $20 per class, or $85 for all five classes. Henna supplies will be available for sale after the class for those who wish to further their henna journey.
