Brandywine Living offers Brain Fitness Program to the Community

Brandywine Living at Litchfield is proud to offer an innovative educational program for the community, What’s Good for your Heart is Good for Your Brain. This interactive session, held on Wednesday, February 28th from noon to 1:30 pm, will help participants explore how diet, exercise and cardiovascular activity affect their brain health. Each attendee will come away with strategies that can be used every day to maximize their mind's potential and keep their heart healthy too. A delicious lunch, prepared by Brandywine’s skilled culinary team will be provided.

This community event is the second offered in Litchfield as part of Brandywine’s signature brain fitness program, Sharper Minds, and will be facilitated by their dedicated Neuropsychologist, Dr. Kevin Manning, Ph.D.

Dr. Manning holds a Ph.D. in Clinical Neuropsychology from Drexel University and completed his clinical fellowship at New York Presbyterian Hospital / Weill Cornell Medical College. His clinical expertise is in the cognitive, mood, and functional assessment of older adults, and he is the principal investigator on two scientific studies to advance technology to improve cognition and everyday functioning in older adults. In his role at Brandywine, he provides individualized resident care planning, family support services and ongoing education for the community, families and team members.

What’s Good for Your Health is Good for Your Brain is free and open to the public.  Reservations are highly recommended. Please RSVP to Amber or Nanette at 860-567-9500 by Friday, February 23.
