Located in the northwest corner of CT, 90 miles north of New York City, this historic town is nestled in the foothills of the Berkshire Mountains. Kent is a friendly village with ample activities for the whole family.

As you walk through our town, you will discover a myriad of places to visit. From Main Street to the Kent Barns you will find incredible restaurants and cafes, impeccable inns and bed and breakfasts. You will experience distinctive shops and boutiques, outstanding art galleries, antique dealers, private schools, and museums.

No matter what time of year it is, you can be assured that Kent and its surroundings offer a wide variety of activities for all ages.  Stop by the famous Kent Falls State Park where you can take photos of “Connecticut’s Highest” waterfall. Or explore the many trails in Macedonia State Park or the listen to the roar of the waters that surround Bulls Bridge covered bridge. We have 87.6 miles of hiking trails from which to choose.   Don’t forget to visit the local wineries. Or take in a play at theaters such as the Sherman Players in Sherman. Want to curl up with a good book? Then stop in at the House of Books or the Kent Memorial Library.
