During December Kent once again was the scene for one of the largest Gingerbread Festivals in Connecticut! Dozens of gingerbread creations were placed in participating shops in Kent. This year's Gingerbread Fest was sponsored by the Kent Chamber of Commerce, Kent Barns and Foreign Cargo.
Thank you to everyone who strolled through Kent and participated in the voting and completed the puzzle on the back of the map.
2018 prizes were awarded as follows:
Most unique overall design: Brittany Hrabcsak (creation was on display Main Street Antiques/Koblenz & Co. Antique & Estate Jewelry) (see photo on left)
Most sculptural AND People's Choice: Tom Doyle (creation was on display at Foreign Cargo)
Most Artistic: Anne Vance (creation was on display at the House of Books)
Most Architecturally Unique: Denise Howard and Wendy Harvey (creation was on display at Kingsley Tavern)
Most magical: Susan Allen and Sue Haneman (creation was on display at Heron Gallery)
Most creative theme: Maddy Stevens (creation was on display at Chestnut Woodworking and Antique Flooring)
